Two exciting new standard features are now available with the Cirrus Perspective by Garmin™ avionics suite; the AOPA Directory and automatic database synchronization.
The AOPA Directory allows an owner access to useful airport information (primarily in the U.S.) that includes:
• Transportation options such as rental cars, taxis, limousines, FBO courtesy cars
• Airport restaurants
• Lodging
• FBO services like fuel availability, hours of operation, maintenance facilities, airport fees
The directory makes trip planning easier whether it be a spontaneous weekend away, or a sudden change in business plans – and it’s exclusive to Cirrus Perspective. With the new automatic database synchronization the Cirrus Perspective system will be able to automatically check all databases stored on the bottom Secure Digital cards on both the MFD and PFD. When a card is found to be out of date, the current cycle of each database will be transferred. This allows for a download of the databases on only one card, and for future versions to be downloaded before the effective date. The system will then automatically update when a new database becomes effective, eliminating the hassle of updating while in a middle of a trip.
