Friday, 4 June 2010 05:13 by Cirrus Aircraft

Cirrus Aircraft representatives are currently busy at the 4th Cannes International General Aviation Exposition, referred to as Eur-Avia Cannes, being held at Cannes-Mandelieu International Airport in France. The event runs through Sunday and includes static displays of a wide range of aircraft.

The exhibition showcases a complete range of aviation: from the ULM to the transcontinental jet and everything in between, such as kit airplanes, light aircraft, helicopters, and turboprops. The show has established itself as an unmissable event in general aviation in the South of Europe and as a grand business get-together for pilots, owners and new wealthy clients from France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, the Middle-East, Portugal and Russia, etc.

Eur-Avia Cannes is ideally situated at the center of the most media-oriented events in the world, such as the Cannes International Film Festival and the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, which attract outstanding clientele year after year.

DALE KLAPMEIER WELCOMES THE WORLD'S FIRST CIRRUS CERTIFIED FLIGHT SIMULATOR CENTER: FULL MOTION FLIGHT TRAINING

Monday, 3 May 2010 06:22 by Cirrus Aircraft

Cirrus Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Dale Klapmeier earns a new handle:  Dale "Splash" Klapmeier

On April 24, Key Air and Full Motion Flight Training hosted a picnic to celebrate FMFT's grand opening.  They were joined by Dale Klapmeier and Cirrus Vice President of Business Administration, Bill King.

Seasoned pilots, Dale and Bill prepare for some simulator time in FMFT's Cirrus certified sim.  Little did they know how complicated...

...a simulated carrier landing might be!  Let's just chalk this one up as an unsuccessful carrier landing.

FMFT's President, Tim Barzen, and Operations Manager, Chris Dunn,
present another challenge:  ILS in the soup.

Dale later joins Tim and Chris as they celebrate the world's first Cirrus certified flight simulator center at Full Motion Flight Training.  Congratulations!

Our friend, Max Haynes, blogs about the event here:  Max Haynes Flog

"TICKET TO TAMPA" WINNER ENJOYED VISIT TO AOPA AND FIRST CIRRUS FLIGHT

Tuesday, 17 November 2009 06:37 by Cirrus Aircraft

New private pilot, Doug Lins, was Cirrus' "Ticket to Tampa" promotion winner, earning a trip to the AOPA Aviation Summit in November.  Doug enjoyed his first flight in a Cirrus with one of his four children, Danny.

Yesterday’s flight was incredible!  First of all, the weather couldn’t have been better. Also, it was the first opportunity that I’ve had to take my son up in a small plane – he loved it!  And the plane itself, well it goes without saying that it is an incredible piece of equipment.  I’m sure, given that we only had an hour-or-so, Bill and I only touched on a fraction of the plane’s capabilities – there’s no other way to say it than that Cirrus has hit the mark on a number of features that make flying easier and more enjoyable.  I’m already a little spoiled for a low-time pilot, being trained in a late-model well equipped Diamond.  Now, after the Cirrus ride, I’m definitely spoiled.

Doug and his wife, Katie, thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the AOPA Summit in Tampa, saying, "we had a wonderful time and will be back."

Doug, Cirrus wishes you the very best as you continue your flying career.  Congratulations!
